La Salle County Coronavirus Update: and 37 Deaths Recorded

One La Salle County man in his 80s and another in his 90s has died of COVID-19-like headaches, according to data shared Wednesday through the La Salle County Department of Health.

The two additional deaths raise the county’s total to 37 since the start of the pandemic, and death number 19 this month.

15 new cases have been reported, bringing the county total to more than 1,000 cases to 1010 cases since the virus began. La Salle County is the seventeenth county in Illinois to exceed 1,000 COVID-19 instances and is the 18th largest county in the state in terms of population.

There were 22 other people freed from solitary confinement, bringing the number to 517; there are 456 known active cases throughout the county.

Two teenagers, two women in their twenties, a boy in their thirties, a boy in their forties, five men in their fifties, a woguy of 60, a woguy of 60 came back positive.

19,794 tests were conducted among citizens of La Salle County, of which 5.1% returned from the virus.

Wenona, which is basically located in Marshall County, remains in 10 cases.
