Kuwaiti police $1. 5 million shabu and suspect arrested

Abu Dhabi: Kuwait’s Interior Ministry said it had seized 12 kilograms of shabu or crystalline methamphetamine, with a market of about one million Kuwaiti dinars (about $1. 5 million), local media reported.

Kuwait’s anti-narcotics department, in coordination with customs, controlled two shabu boxes hidden in fodder sacks, smuggled through a foreigner, the ministry said in a statement.

The suspect was caught in a shop and policemen dressed as civilians confiscated 250 grams of drugs from his car, police said.

During the interrogation, the guy allegedly admitted the crime and had two boxes in Shuwaikh Port, the police added.

“The boxes were taken to the inspection yard, 10 bags of shabu weighing 12 kilograms were seizen. The suspect was referred to the prosecutor pending further investigation and trial,” police said.
