Kuwait: Kuwait has shown 865 new coronaviruses in the last 24 hours, 35 less than the count of subsequent days, bringing the country’s total number of infections to 88243, a fitness official said Friday.
The number of deaths in the country due to COVID-19 has increased to 537 with a new death, Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said in an update.
According to Dr. Al Sanad, 94 patients are receiving comprehensive care, according to Kuwaiti news firm KUNA.
The total number of viral tests in Kuwait reached 636220 after 4738 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health reported the previous Friday that 626 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in more than 24 hours, bringing the total number of cures for the disease in Kuwait to 79417.
On Thursday, Kuwait recorded 900 new viral infections, its highest rate in recent days.
Earlier this week, the country lifted a curfew imposed for more than five months to restrict COVID-19.
