Kuwait prohibits direct access for citizens of seven countries, India, Pakistan and Philippines

Dubai: The Directorate-General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced that anyone who has spent the last 14 days in Bangladesh, the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Iran and Nepal will not be able to enter Kuwait, and this is not a ban on nationals of the countries concerned, local media reported.

Nationals belonging to these 7 countries may enter Kuwait through specific procedures provided they are from other countries, which are part of the legal countries.

This means that citizens of these 7 banned countries can go to another country and, after 14 days of stay, can enter Kuwait as long as they have a PCR certificate proving that they are negative for the coronavirus and adhere to the fitness procedures.

For example, an Indian citizen, who has been in India for the last 14 days, can enter Kuwait without any problem.

Following the publication of the latest resolution to ban access to people from certain countries, airlines will have to reschedule their scheduled flights, as their flights will have to operate at a Kuwaiti address in those countries, but others from those countries will. not being able to Kuwait.

Last month, Kuwait announced that it would partially resume advertising flights from August, but does not expect to succeed at full capacity until a year later, as its aviation sector is recovering from a suspension caused by the COVID-19 crisis.
