Kuwait posts 502 new COVID-19s in downward trend

Kuwait: Kuwait has shown 502 new cases of new coronavirus in the last 24 hours, below the following day’s count, bringing the country’s overall infections to 79269, Kuwaiti news firm KUNA reported on Friday.

All new instances that have been in contact with Americans in the past have been or are being investigated to locate infection resources and identify those in contact, Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said in an update.

Two COVID-19 deaths were announced, bringing total deaths in Kuwait to 511.

There are 95 patients receiving intensive care, Dr. Al Sanad said.

Kuwait’s total virus number increased to 581,118 after 3,530 seconds were performed in more than 24 hours, the official added.

The Ministry of Health also reported that 622 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in more than 24 hours, bringing the total number of cures for the disease in Kuwait to 71,264.

In weeks, Kuwait has eased virus restrictions. The partial curfew of fitness will be lifted in the country from 30 August.
