Cairo: The Kuwaiti government has expelled Lebanese television presenter Sazdel for posting video clips and images of hers deemed violating public morals online, according to media reports.
The Directorate-General for Criminal Investigations referred Sazdel to the deportation section and booked him an exit-priced ticket on a flight to Beirut, Kuwaiti newspaper Al Qabas reported, which mentioned security sources.
The deportation resolution taken by the Ministry of the Interior for “the public interest,” the newspaper said.
Sazdel, 42, has promised to return to Kuwait despite his deportation, some other newspaper reported.
“What happened to me and the resolve to expel the Ministry of the Interior will evaporate. I have shown a marriage contract with a Kuwaiti,” he told Al Rai newspaper.
“Now he travels abroad. When I return, I will show you [the contract] and return to Kuwait because my husband is Kuwaiti and you have the right to deport me,” he added.
Sazdel, nicknamed Kim Kardashian of the Arabs, had spent 10 years in Kuwait.
