LAS CRUCES – A fourth fairacres Elementary School worker on W Avenue.Picacho tested positive for COVID-19 disease, Las Cruces Public Schools announced Thursday night after informing school staff.
The school has been closed since August 28. The first positive case among his staff was known on 21 August, followed by two other cases on 28 August.The district in the past stated that the first 3 cases had no direct contact with parents or students.
The district said no one had entered construction since the August 28 close, with the exception of a “deep remediation” on Tuesday.
According to the rules of the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the New Mexico Health Decomposer, and the State Public Education Decomposer, the District reiterated that the construction would remain closed until Tuesday, September 15.red plan will continue this time.
Public schools with DEP-approved reopening plans may resume on a limited basis in line with K-5 students after Labor Day.However, such reopening can only take place in counties reporting fewer than 8 instances consistent with a day consisting of 100,000 inhabitants and a check positivity rate of less than 5%.
During the week, Doa Ana County came out of this category, which made its public school districts and autonomous schools ineligible for the time being.
