A new coronavirus testing site will be available in Kingwood, and will serve as one of two federally funded augmentation sites in Houston.
The Houston Department of Health has partnered with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the State of Texas to offer this week the COVID-19 check loose on high-volume “mega” sites. The Kingwood Community Center site, located at 4102 Rustic Woods Drive, may be offering 1,250 checks. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. August 10-15. Appointments are mandatory and can be made on www.doineedacovid19check.com or on the site.

It is recommended by the CDC to wash hands with soap frequently for at least 20 seconds and to physically distance when around others. Although it is currently mandated, the CDC also recommended to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth as well as covering coughs and sneezes to prevent any potential spread of the virus. Clean and disinfect surfaces daily, or when they get dirty and monitor your health for any symptoms, according to the CDC.
