A Vietjet flight took 350 visitors from Kazakhstan to Cam Ranh International Airport on Tuesday, paving the way for foreign tourists from Central Asia to return to Khanh Hoa province in south-central Vietnam.
Bui Quoc Dai, executive vice president of Anex Vietnam Travel and Trading Company, said the company has collaborated with Vietnamese budget airline Vietjet Air to bring foreign visitors from the Kazakh market on a package of excursions to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa for sightseeing and relaxation.
Vietjet will conduct two Airbus A330 flights a week between Cam Ranh and Almaty in Kazakhstan, lasting about nine hours, from Oct. 25 this year to April 30, according to a plan.
As Cam Ranh Airport is only about 40 km from Nha Trang, the road connects Vietnamese tourists from Nha Trang city with Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest economic center.
In addition to tourism, the management will help boost business and education between the two cities.
Khanh Hoa has never been a more sensible destination for Kazakh travelers due to the lack of direct flights.
“The launch of a direct address from Kazakhstan attracts tourists from Kazakhstan and some Eastern European countries back to Khanh Hoa, diversifying the province’s tourism market,” said Cung Quynh Anh, deputy director of Khanh Hoa’s tourism department.
“Our branch has asked local businesses to value their quality and services, as well as to advertise new tourism products to attract tourists. “
