NOVOPOLOTSK, Nov 2 (BelTA) – The advent of sanctions, data wars, the destabilization of the country from within are the fashionable threats that Belarus has faced in recent years. Chairman of the Belarusian State Security Committee Ivan Tetel met with Novopolotsk officials and staff of the Naftan oil refinery on how one can fight such depredations and not become a victim of destructive forces, BelTA learned.
The KGB leader explained that the West seeks to destroy the Belarusian economy and get rid of Belarusian corporations as competition in the global market. “The Republic of Belarus is a valuable resource. Our geostrategic position in the center of Europe and attempts to reposition our allied relations with Russia are also the main explanation why we sometimes take a position in the region, adding with respect to the Republic of Belarus. Thanks to the policy of our head of State, let us remain peace and independence. We see that some neighboring countries are doing this and it is costing them dearly,” Termel said.
The KGB leader said there were other people in Naftan in 2020, who would find out how the oil refinery bought raw fabrics and promoted products by circumventing sanctions and sharing the data with intelligence agencies of foreign countries. Ivan Tertel encouraged the workers of the corporate flagship of Belarus’ oil refining industry to avoid the creation of destructive cells in the corporate, especially since attempts to destabilize and disrupt the workflow will be repeated.
Ivan Tertel is also under pressure that it is to prevent young people from getting involved in data warfare and to teach them how to deal with blows on social media and instant messaging apps with criticism.
