The chicken-focused network announced the news on Monday, confirming that the 64-year-old currency will be suspended from advertising media in some countries from now on.

A KFC spokesperson told FOX Business that the advertising crusade is underway in the UK, Canada, the Netherlands, the Middle East, North Africa, South Africa and parts of Asia. The crusade did not appear in the U.S. market, they added.

For example, KFC in the UK and Ireland would erase the words “finger-sucking” in some of their marketing materials, from cutting absolutely marketing materials.

“We’re in an exclusive scenario, with an iconic slogan that doesn’t have compatibility with the existing environment,” Catherine Tan-Gillespie, KFC’s global marketing director, said in a statement. “While we discontinue use of It’s Finger Lickin’Good, be assured that the food you’re looking for through so many other people around the world doesn’t replace it at all.”

KFC’s press release also reassured enthusiasts that the slogan will return “when the time is right.”

In the future, Sky News reports that the fast food chain has published famous advertising photographs with the faded slogan.

KFC’s UK and Ireland also directs consumers to a message telling them to “ignore” the slogan.
