Kerala’s leading minister Pinarayi Vijayan and seven of his closet colleagues and senior officials came back negative. Vijayan, Shailaja and others, who quarantined the Friday after the Malappuram district collector contracted the virus days after accompanying them to the crash site, tested negative for the coronavirus, the lead minister’s resources said.
“They all turned out negative. However, everyone may remain quarantined for a few more days,” according to a PTI report.
The Dubai Kozhikode Air India plane with 190 other people on board came off the table and crashed into a valley and broke into pieces, killing 18 other people, adding two pilots and injuring more than 170 people on August 7.
At least 1,099 other people have been discharged from various hospitals, bringing the overall recovery to 28,878, according to the state government. “At least 1,62,217 more people are in the state, adding 13,424 in the isolation rooms of various hospitals,” the statement reads. The state has analyzed 30,123 samples in the last 24 hours.
