Kerala CM automatically quarantines after he visited Kozhikode COVID contract

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and others who visited the site of the Kozhiko plane crash last week are quarantined after more than 20 people who added key administrative officials, workers’ police forces and COVID warriors in Malappuram involved in post-accident rescue operations tested positive for COVID -19 on Friday. In addition to the CM, the Minister of Health, KK Shailaja, and other ministers of KT Jaleel and AC Moideen will also be quarantined.

The Chief Minister said that the Minister of Cooperation and Devaswom, Kadakampally Surendran, would hoist the national flag in Saturday’s Independence Day rite in Thiruvananthapuram.

Those diagnosed with COVID-19 would come with the collector, sub-collector, sub-manager and police chief of Malappuram K Gopalakrishnan district. Since the end of rescue operations, they have been under observation.

At approximately 1941 on August 7, Air India Express flight IX-1344 from Dubai flew over the runway at Kozhikode International Airport in Karipur. According to MoS MEA V Muraleedharan, the plan only controlled landing at the time of the attempt. In rainy conditions, the aircraft with 190 other people on board fell on a 35-foot slope and split in two. Immediately, the Kerala government and the Center took action and began rescue and rescue operations. Eighteen other people, in addition to wing commander (retired) Deepak Sathe and co-pilot Akhilesh Kumar, were killed in the plane crash.

So far, 92 passengers have been discharged from hospitals. The Centre announced provisional assistance of 10 lakh to the families of the deceased, 2 lakh to the seriously injured and 50,000 rupees to the lightly injured. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan also announced Rs. Reimbursement of 10 lakh to the relatives of those who lost their lives, in addition to paying the medical expenses of the injured.

Meanwhile, the flight’s black boxes were retrieved and an investigation was ordered under the Aircraft Act. On Thursday, the Aviation Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) formed a five-member panel to investigate the cases of the plane crash.
