Kazakhstan will have to pursue a balanced and constructive foreign policy – President

ASTANA. KAZINFORM – Our state will have to pursue a balanced, multidirectional and constructive foreign policy, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, Kazinform’s correspondent reports.

“I will soon provide my electoral platform that will come with measures for a complete transformation of the country, expanding the well-being of citizens. I firmly believe that our state should pursue a balanced, multidirectional and constructive foreign policy aimed at ensuring regional and global security,” the Kazakh head of state said.

He went on to note that Kazakhstan will never cease to advocate constant respect for the principles of equality and democracy in foreign affairs, foreign law and the Charter of the United Nations. Kazakhstan will make active efforts to make the authority of the United Nations as a universal and exclusive Organization.

“We want to work with key organizations such as the CIS, SCO, OSCE, Organization of Turkic Speaking Countries as well as the future CICA,” the Kazakh president said.
