ASTANA. KAZINFORM “Kazakhstan operates 490 flights a week to 112 destinations in 28 countries of the world,” Kasym Tlepov, deputy head of the shipping committee of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, said at the table on Kazakhstan’s global investment.
He noted that civil aviation affected by the coronavirus pandemic is recovering.
Last year, Kazakhstan introduced the following flights: Almaty-Doha, Almaty-Kuwait City, Abu Dhabi-Almaty, Almaty-Male, Almaty-Colombo. This year, the Almaty-Milan, Almaty-Iraklion routes were unveiled.
It is planned to open new flights from Astana, Aktau and Shymkent to Ankara, flights to Vietnam from Almaty and Astana. There are plans to resume air service to Thailand, Mongolia and Turkmenistan, fly to Pakistan and build flights to China, India, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.
