NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar this week held an assembly of the Commission for the Removal of Unused and Illegally Allocated Land, Kazinform learned from the Ministry of Agriculture’s press service.
Minister Yerbol Karashukeyev briefed Roman Sklyar on the effects of the detection and set-aside of agricultural land. According to him, 1,119,000 hectares of land have been returned to the state as of August 10, 2022. This is 2. 7 times more than it was last year (400,000 hectares).
Currently, the Ministry conducts 724 unscheduled on-site inspections of land users on an area of 2. 94 million hectares.
To date, 48 complaints have been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office concerning the inspection of 698,400 hectares of land.
Since the beginning of the year, the territorial divisions of the Ministry’s Land Management Committee have detected 74 cases of illegal land allocation through akimats (local administration).
“Meanwhile, we are seeing a giant deficit of up to 16 million hectares of pastures. This leads to cattle relief and social unrest in rural areas,” Minister Karashukeyev said.
Overall, the Commission foresees 2 584 land users on a domain of 7. 45 million hectares, totalling 585 two hundred hectares of arable land and 6. 863 million hectares of pasture.
Yerbol Karashukeyev called on the akimats to actively participate in the identification of unused plots and verify the reliability and timeliness of the knowledge submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture in relation to the plots.
The ministry plans up to five million hectares of unused land and illegally allocated land by the end of the year.
