ASTANA. KAZINFORM The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy-Vice-President, Josep Borrell, said that the EU is Kazakhstan’s investor, reports Kazinform.
As previously reported, the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi met with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy – Vice President Josep Borrell.
Next February will mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the EU. Kazakhstan is a valuable partner. Its importance is increasing. “We are percentagewise interested in the emergence of cooperation,” Borrell said at a press conference.
He also expressed his gratitude to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for holding wide-ranging discussions on how to cope with non-unusual demanding situations on the basis of mutual respect and trust.
Borrell added that the EU is Kazakhstan’s biggest trading partner. 60% of EU investment goes to Kazakhstan.
