Kazakhstan has problems with jubilee postage stamp honoring 30th anniversary of UN membership

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan issues a postage stamp in honor of the 30th anniversary of the country’s accession to the United Nations. The stamp issued through Kazpost JSC jointly with the United Nations Office in Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reports Kazinform.

The 26 x 29. 6 mm postage stamp was issued in an edition of 10,000 copies. The nominal price of the postage stamp is 700 tenge. The one on the label is Elnara Bainazarova.

“It is no coincidence that the dombra is represented on the postage stamp, as the classical Kazakh art of Dombra Kui has been inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. We commend Kazakhstan’s movements in the framework of sustainable progression those thirty years. The issuance of the commemorative postage stamp serves as a symbol of public awareness in a vital milestone in the history of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy and commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals,” said Ms. Michaela Friberg-Storey, United Nations Resident Coordinator for Kazakhstan.
