Kazakhstan gains 23 positions in the 2021 Travel and Tourism Development Index

NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – Kazakhstan is ranked 66th out of 117 countries in the 2021 edition of the World Economic Forum’s Travel and Tourism Development Index, according to Kazinform press from the Kazakhstan National Tourism Company.

Kazakhstan made a jump by climbing 23 positions, from position 80 in 2019.

Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan overtook Kazakhstan in 44th, 61st and 63rd places, respectively.

Kazakhstan controlled to rule out countries such as Montenegro (67), Morocco (71), Mongolia (84) and Kyrgyzstan (90). Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and several other countries were included in the index.

The Travel and Tourism Development Index ranks countries according to the set of points that allow the sustainable and resilient progression of the tourism sector of each country.
