ASTANA-HAVANA. KAZINFORM The Chamber of Foreign Trade of Kazakhstan and the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba held a video convention last week to discuss the progress of bilateral relations in the fields of biopharmacy, medicine and tourism, the press of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported. .
The Kazakh delegation consisted of Ambassador Andrian Yelemessov of Kazakhstan, Director of the Americas Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nurgali Arystanov, Foresight Advisor of the Chamber of Foreign Trade Rustam Tazhenov and representatives of domestic enterprises. The Cuban side was represented through Ambassador to Kazakhstan Óscar Santana León, Vice President of the Rubén Ramos Chamber of Commerce and representatives of corporations and biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations.
The participants discussed promising spaces for cooperation in the field of biopharmacy and medicine, specifically with the prominent Cuban corporate BioCubaPharma, as well as in the field of tourism. During the consultations, it was pointed out that Cuban medicine is effective in treating a number of diseases.
The Kazakh side also expressed interest in cooperation with Cuban partners in the tourism sector. Direct advertising contacts will be established between agencies in Kazakhstan and Cuba.
The participants insisted on the importance of consultations and expressed the hope that such meetings of Kazakh and Cuban experts will be held to accentuate bilateral relations in spaces of mutual interest.
