For the health of the common man, Karnataka Bank has introduced a special health insurance policy to cover the uncertainties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, it said in a statement.
“With an aim to offer an insurance policy for fitness expenses similar to the COVID-19 pandemic, the bank, in agreement with Universal Sompo General Insurance Company Ltd, has introduced this fitness policy,” said Mahabaleshwara MS, Managing Director & CEO of Karnataka. Bank.
The sector bank said the fitness canopy can be used with a nominal premium of Rs 399, adding up all taxes.
The policy will cover hospitalization costs up to Rs 3 lakh, outpatient treatment costs of Rs 3,000 and will also provide a sum of Rs 1,000 per day for expenses incurred during 14 days of quarantine in a government or military hospital, he said.
This policy is valid for a period of 120 days.
This policy is aimed at all of the bank’s consumers between the ages of 18 and 65, he said.
