JEDDAH – The number of coronavirus deaths in Iran is almost three times what the Iranians claim, a BBC investigation revealed.
According to the BBC’s Persian Service, the Iranian government has reported a particular decrease in deaths despite the fact that they have a history of all coronavirus-related deaths.
Government records appear to show that nearly 42,000 other people died from coronavirus symptoms as of 21 July, with 14,405 reported through Iran’s Ministry of Health, according to the BBC report.
The number of other inflamed people is also nearly double the official figures: 451,024 to 278,827.
Despite the cover-up, official figures still make Iran the toughest blow in the Middle East.
In recent weeks, you have experienced an abrupt moment in the number of cases.
The first death in Iran from coronavirus was recorded on Jan. 22, according to lists and medical records that BBC claims to have received from an anonymous source.
The knowledge comes with the main points of admission to hospitals throughout Iran, adding names, age, sex, symptoms, date and duration of hospital stays, and underlying situations that patients might have.
The figure between official figures and the number of deaths in these records also corresponds to the figure between the official figure and the estimates of over mortality until mid-June.
Excess mortality refers to the number of deaths beyond what would be expected from “normal” conditions.
Tehran, the capital, has the highest number of deaths with 8120 people who died with coronavirus or symptoms.
The city of Qom, the initial epicenter of the virus in Iran, is the maximum affected proportionally, with 1,419 deaths, or a coronavirus death consisting of 1,000 people.
It should be noted that 1,916 deaths across the country were non-Iranian citizens. This indicates a disproportionate number of deaths between migrants and refugees, the maximum of which comes from neighbouring Afghanistan.
The general trend of cases and deaths in the disclosed knowledge is similar to that of official reports, of another size.
The initial accumulation of deaths is much higher than the figures of the Ministry of Health and until mid-March is five times the official figure. – SG
