The Japanese government announced on Tuesday that it would stop subsidizing the medical costs of other people affected by Covid-19, in addition to stopping paying the price of medicines, from the end of March due to a drop in the number of cases.
With Japan’s healthcare systems returning to their pre-pandemic state starting in April, patients will have to pay 10 to 30% of the cost of coronavirus treatment medications. Income levels and age determine how much each user pays.
