Japan’s Ministry of Health has approved the manufacture and sale of a coronavirus vaccine made by Daiichi Sankyo Co that targets an Omicron subvariant, paving the way for domestic use of the first locally produced COVID-19 vaccines.
The vaccine, which will be sold under the name Daichirona and adapted to the Omicron XBB. 1. 5 subvariant, is expected to be delivered to local governments from early December and will be presented free of charge. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection has agreed to procure 1. 4 million doses of vaccine.
The newly approved vaccine uses messenger RNA technology similar to that produced by U. S. companies Pfizer Inc and Moderna Inc and will be used as a booster for people 12 and older.
The Japanese drugmaker’s previous edition of the Covid vaccine, targeting strains that spread in the early stages of the pandemic, was approved in August but has yet to be rolled out.
Since the spread of the novel coronavirus in early 2020, Japan has basically relied on the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, while the progression of locally produced vaccines has lagged far behind the United States and European countries.
Health Minister Keizo Takemi said the Japanese government will continue to supply the necessary vaccines to ensure the progress and production of domestic vaccines for the next possible pandemic.
On the same day, the Ministry of Health also approved the production and commercialization through Meiji Seika Pharma Co. , of a new type of mRNA vaccine, in which the mRNA self-replicates within the receptor framework to generate a longer-lasting immune reaction with a shorter shelf life. than existing vaccines.
The pharmaceutical subsidiary of Meiji Holdings Co. called the move “the world’s first approved replicon vaccine applying self-amplifying mRNA technology.” The technology was developed by U.S. pharmaceutical company Arcturus Therapeutics Inc.
Meiji Seika Pharma Chairman Daikichiro Kobayashi told a news conference in Tokyo that the approval has “opened up the option of the practical use of the next-generation vaccines” and that the company will take care of their robust supply.
Better overdue than ever. This has only been going on for 4 years since the start of the pandemic.
in which the mRNA self-replicates inside the recipient’s body
Interesting.
A pharmaceutical product that uses my frame to mirror my frame.
Is there a kill switch?
Maybe I’ll continue, thanks.
At least this vaccines is tailored for Japanese with specific Japanese diet.
https://www. reddit. com/r/japan/comments/pk6hej/japans_vaccine_rollout_was_delayed_porque_the/
The reason the vaccine was delayed in Japan was because Japan thought that those foreign vaccines would be tested on the local population, positing that local nutrition might have some effect on the vaccines.
Message to Japan: the pandemic has mostly been over for 18 months. Humanity won.
Average age of death from Covid in the UK: 82 years. Sorry, I don’t know the figures for Japan because they don’t provide good enough information.
It was highly unlikely to kill a user under the age of 70 in the early variants, and almost today it is.
if severely I’ll and/or very old maybe there’s a need to take, otherwise use your own judgement and look at the data comparisons of illness/deaths by infection Vs by vaccine by age group.
Great. So will this new vaccine stop infection, transmission, getting sick or dying? If, like any of the previous vaccines, the answer is no to any these, take your “vaccines” Daiichi/Meiji, and put in them in an industrial-sized circular filing cabinet.
Jay
The answer is no, lol.
Message to Japan: The pandemic ended 18 months ago. Humanity has won.
Message from the coronavirus to humanity: We are still alive and thriving, having killed millions of you and left many others with chronic or permanent damage, all because you refused to conform to fundamental clinical principles about how respiratory viruses are transmitted. Won.
I’ll stick with the physically powerful herbal immunity, but good luck to the company.
As long as it’s a choice, people can put whatever they like in their own bodies imo.
They really cut it fine, just got it out the door in time
The world’s official deaths were just below 7 million. WHO last year said it might actually be 15 million due to under-reporting etc. A rough calculation using the higher figure, and a world population of 8 billion, shows a mere 0.19% of the world dying from covid-19. By any stretch of the imagination, the virus did not win. It barely made a dent. 70 million humans are born in a year. 2.5 months would see the 15 million replenished. The Black Death killed one-third of the population of Europe in the 14th century.
Covid19 vaccines? Always!?
Essentially, we all already have natural immunity (broad, long-lasting, and robust). You don’t need to take risks shooting at one spike protein to get a few months of coverage against the next variant, which is more likely to have a very different spike protein.
Interesting.
A drug that uses my frame to reflect itself in my frame.
You mean the first vaccines that did that?
Is there an off switch?
For anybody with a working immunity, of course, it is part of the expected response. And for those without it the vaccine (all vaccines) are not recommended in the first place.
In the early variants it was very unlikely to kill a user under the age of 70 and almost now it is.
This is still wrong according to public fitness experts, having a lower death threat doesn’t even come close to this threat being negligible (and it doesn’t do anything for all the other threats except death, which are still present).
Great. So will this new vaccine stop infection, transmission, getting sick or dying? If, like any of the previous vaccines, the answer is no to any these, take your “vaccines” Daiichi/Meiji, and put in them in an industrial-sized circular filing cabinet.
No vaccine in the history of humanity completely and absolutely stops infection, transmission, disease or death, that is a terribly poor argument to say vaccines are useless. Rational people can understand an important benefit can still be present even if that benefit is not absolute.
As long as it’s a choice, people can put whatever they like in their own bodies imo.
It is a selection that is not criticized, the complaint is directed at those who use false data to claim that an irrational resolution is justified when it is not. Not vaccinating (and facing the consequences) is not the problem, repeating that vaccination is useless.
Essentially, we all already have natural immunity (broad, long-lasting, and robust). You don’t need to take risks shooting at one spike protein to get a few months of coverage against the next variant, which is more likely to have a very distinct spike protein.
The vaccines have demonstrated benefits, that includes people that have been previously infected. Since we know that repeated infections come with increased risks for the health of the people that means boosters are not only justified but even necessary, which is why public health authorities and experts strongly recommend them, specially for those with a higher degree of vulnerability.
There is no vaccine in human history and it surely stops infection, transmission, disease, or death, which is a very bad argument for claiming that vaccines are useless.
Read my words very carefully. There is no Covid vaccine. The Covid virus is a coronavirus. Like the usual cold, which is also a coronavirus, it mutates too temporarily for a vaccine to be effective.
90% of the population were duped by big Pharma into mistakenly believing there was a vaccine. They have since been duped by governments into believing a “booster” shot is a vaccine when, at best, it is a medicine that lessens the severity of the disease in people with compromised immune systems.
Daiichi Sankyo is a day behind and one dollar is missing. Nothing new for a Japanese company.
Nobody cares about Covid vaccines anymore. Even people who have had several boosters are now saying, “Naw, I’m good”.
The whole premise behind these things is incredibly bizarre. You take a shot which likely knocks you out for a day, some people have less severe side effects, some people get absolutely wrecked. It is supposed to grant you some undisclosed degree of immunity, but most people who take it still get Covid anyway. But Omicron is not particularly intense to begin with. Even original 2020 Covid, which I had before there were even vaccines, was generally a pretty uneventful experience for me. I don’t think we will ever truly discover the real efficacy of the vaccines, as Covid had already declined massively in deadliness after the first year, then even more so the second year.
I suppose, as is often the case, Daiichi Sankyo has a very intelligent relationship with the LDP people. Most of the “scientists” in the pharmaceutical industry are even scientists, but more like business people, and most of the “science” is just advertising. The formula is incredibly corrupt and the lack of transparency is not unexpected. What is unexpected is how little other people oppose and hold accountable those who made this never-ending journey of money possible.
Please read my very carefully. There is no vaccine against Covid
Baseless claims do not replace arguments, the experts of the world clearly, explicitly recognize the covid vaccines and qualify them as very successful and that saved millions of lives.
You claiming to know more than them and being able to contradict what they can demonstrate do nothing to substantiate those claims, it just means you consider your personal opinion something that can be imposed, which is of course not valid.
Present evidence that can demonstrate the scientific and medical consensus is wrong, before that it is a much more reliable source of information about medical matters.
Nobody cares about Covid vaccines anymore
Public fitness experts are doing this, which is why they strongly recommend that other people get vaccinated this season. That you don’t care about them isn’t something you can generalize.
The premise of those things is incredibly strange.
It is the same principle as previous vaccines, doctors do not find the principle strange at all, all vaccines have side effects, because effective coverage against coronavirus is related to mild and transient disorders derived from the activation of the immune system. Almost nothing new.
but most people who take it still get Covid.
The mild form of the disease, such as that seen with Japanese encephalitis or polio, causes other people to still have a fever, feel sick for a few days, but avoid harmful complications, just as with Covid vaccines.
because Covid mortality had already decreased after the first year, and even more so in the second year.
This is still a threat to most people, which is why experts still recommend vaccination where there is transmission. To refute this, you need more than “the others”, you want to prove that others are not better vaccinated.
Most of the “scientists” in the pharmaceutical industry are not even scientists, but businessmen, and most of the “science” is just advertising.
Which is irrelevant when you are trying to contradict evidence produced by scientist that are NOT in the pharmaceutical companies.
You take a shot which likely knocks you out for a day, some people have less severe side effects, some people get absolutely wrecked. It is supposed to grant you some undisclosed degree of immunity, but most people who take it still get Covid anyway. But Omicron is not particularly intense to begin with.
Yes, I (unvaccinated) had Omicron a while ago. It was very mild, a little fever and I felt a little tired for a few days, that’s all. While many of my classmates/friends/students told me they felt incredibly bad after getting the vaccine.
And when you get multiple boosters, you also have to worry about the production of IgG4 antibodies.
Vaccines have shown benefits, adding to other people who have already been infected.
But they have also demonstrated dangers that outweigh any purported benefit. Such dangers are obviously worth taking, especially given the mildness of existing variants and the existing immunity that the vast majority of us already enjoy.
Which is irrelevant when you are trying to contradict evidence produced by scientist that are NOT in the pharmaceutical companies.
This is applicable because the pharmaceutical industry and the government (his friends) have funded the studies and studies through their grants. That’s literally what Operation Warp Speed was. The investment needed to embrace such efforts comes out of nowhere.
Even Harvard University has been bogged down falsifying/manipulating studies and research. It’s literally as simple as editing Excel spreadsheets and it’s the stupidest way to do it. Most likely, the larger the actors involved, the more complicated the teams and methodologies will be. I suppose the explanation for why they threw this Italian-American sociology professor under the bus was because the implications of their exposure were low-risk and they needed a lamb for sacrifice. But other people in the pharmaceutical industry? We’re talking about trillions of dollars at stake, entire sectors.
If you want to be the last person on Earth defending mRNA shots, well, I guess that’s your call. But from the way things look, public perception and reputation is at an all time low for the people that pushed these vaccines on all of us and got rich in the process.
The World’s Experts
Experts? The same experts who demanded a one-size-fits-all vaccination scheme for the entire population, including healthy adults? The same experts who are under investigation overseas for peddling lies? The same experts who fail to mention the dramatic rise in excess deaths? The same experts who continue to deny the dangers of mRNA? The same experts who vigorously recommended lock downs? (now regarded as having done more harm than good). The same experts who insisted we all mask up? (outside of medical-grade n95 also now recognised as having little benefit). The same experts who told us to “trust the science” when the so-called science was plucked from thin air (as described by UK Health)?
Yeah, I (unvaxxed) had Omicron a while back
An uncontrolled, unqualified, and poorly characterized N-1 exam does not contrast with the best available evidence (as in millions of well-characterized, described, and controlled cases) that says otherwise.
And when you get multiple “boosters”, we also have to consider the production IgG4 antibodies.
However, vaccinated people fare better than those who don’t, epidemiological evidence obviously supports the cost of vaccines, explaining why vaccines don’t work is not important when they have shown effectiveness and reduces the risk for those who are vaccinated and vaccinated. .
But they also have demonstrated risks that outweigh any alleged benefit
No, it’s not, that’s why the experts present them, claiming that the world medical network (as in all countries) is some kind of global conspiracy simply because the available evidence refutes this claim that you like to argue. argument, it’s an excuse for not having the evidence you want to support your claim.
It is applicable because the pharmaceutical industry and the government (his friends) funded the studies and studied their grants.
Unless this accusation can be debunked, it will remain useless and meaningless. A global conspiracy in which everyone is willing to supposedly sacrifice their health and that of their circle of family and friends for money is not even plausible at all. The only other people who consider this outrageous conspiracy imaginable are those who would do so if offered the option; For other rational people it surely doesn’t make sense.
It’s literally as simple as editing Excel spreadsheets.
If you think this is possible that only means you don’t understand scientific publications and post publication peer review, the simple fact that countless studies “proving” vaccines are not safe have been debunked as soon as somebody looks closely to the data should make it easy to see why “editing excel spreadsheets” is not an argument to say this is enough to hide the supposed conspiracy.
If you’re the last user on Earth to protect mRNA injections
It’s the medical and clinical communities around the world that can prove that the vaccines have been hugely successful. It’s not enough to pretend that every expert in the world is incompetent or willing to sacrifice their families to prove their claims wrong after all. .
Experts? The same experts who demanded a one-size-fits-all vaccination scheme for the entire population, including healthy adults?
Well, since that didn’t happen, it means you’re making up mistakes to criticize anything when you can’t find reasons to criticize what happened. Health and adults are still threatened by covid and still get advantages from vaccines, believing in a different way does not refute this fact.
The same experts who are being investigated for peddling lies?
These would be the “experts” who claimed to have discovered that vaccines risked hiding data, producing non-existent patients, or waiting for flawed methodologies to pass peer review undetected.
Obviously, you can’t claim that every single reputable establishment in the world is under investigation for supporting the price of vaccines, can it?No one can say this.
The same experts who confine vigorously?
When were they justified in saving lives? Of course, this is what the evidence indicated and showed, the same experts advised that vaccines update lockdowns when vaccines become available because they were more effective and less expensive.
The same experts who insisted that we all wear masks?
Again, since the role of the mask against covid has been demonstrated, it is a perfectly justified measure, even now that the season brings covid and other respiratory diseases again.
The same experts who told us to “trust science” when so-called science came out of nowhere
The scientific community of the world agrees that isolation was necessary, vaccines and masks effective and covid an important risk that required control. None of these conclusions come “from thin air”, as easily as you are unable to prove any of these claims. You just repeat them as if that supported them, it does not.
Experts around the world are still a much more reliable source of data in their field of expertise than other anonymous people who claim without evidence that experts will have to be wrong, just because.
Yet boosted people do better than those that do not, epidemiological evidence clearly supports the value of vaccines, making up reasons why the vaccines should not work is not important when they have demonstrated to work, and reduce the risk for those who are vaccinated and boosted.
Yes, the epidemiological evidence clearly supports the opposite.
And there are considerable excess deaths world-wide, which governments/authorities refuse to acknowledge, or they blame other reasons for them.
Unless you can prove this accusation it is still valueless and empty.
It’s not a conspiracy; it’s literally just how pharmaceutical research works. Pharma lobbies congress. Government funds research. Universities and labs get more grant money for research if their conclusions can generate profit.
Why do you go to such lengths to deny this?Simply acknowledge the objective fact and argue on its merits. But to act as if it is is simply stupid and dishonest.
If you think this is possible, it simply means that you miss out on clinical publications and post-publication peer review.
Modified Excel spreadsheets are exactly how Harvard got into trouble. That’s how Francesca Gino got exposed. She literally modified spreadsheets containing data for studies. It passed the peer review process and wasn’t discovered until much later on.
Within the field of data analysis more broadly, without even modifying data maliciously, information is so easy to manipulate.
Yeah, except that the epidemiological evidence clearly supports the opposite.
Cpompletely false, as easily proved as you keep repeating that claim without ever bringing any evidence to supopr ti, meanwhile public health systems around the world clearly, unequivocally recommend the vaccines precisely because they are proved to work.
And there is a massive excess of deaths around the world, which governments and governments refuse to acknowledge or attribute to reasons.
when that excess deaths are obviously akin to NOT being vaccinated, that you don’t “blame” other reasons, it proves.
It’s a conspiracy
Well since you keep trying to say you can’t present evidence because every single institution around the world are supposedly hiding that evidence that means that yes, your only argument is a conspiracy.
And since you bring zero evidence of how this happens in every single institution of the world it is even worse, it is just a conspiracy theory that you have been unable to prove.
Why are you going to such great lengths to deny this?
When you make a claim that you can’t prove at all and it’s contradicted by the available evidence, that’s what you’re opening yourself up to, for anyone to just debunk this conspiracy that’s not backed by anything.
Modified Excel spreadsheets are precisely why Harvard ran into trouble
Vague accusations just mean that you are transparently misrepresenting the situation, and no, I made it clear that the real impediment is POST peer review, which Gino didn’t pass, that’s exactly what uncovered the problems, meaning your own argument disproves the conspiracy theory. This explains why you can’t get what you claim.
