‘I’ve been blessed’: Amherstburg developer pays it forward with free turkey dinner giveaway

Michael Dunn and his family spent Saturday morning handing out food in bulk, no questions asked.

“If you need it, you come here and you get it,” said Dunn Saturday at The Hub community centre in town.

The volunteers, Dunn’s four grandchildren, gifted citizens with a turkey, potatoes, carrots and a bag full of groceries.

“I’m doing this because I’ve been lucky,” Dunn said. I’ve been lucky to have my corporate structure here and all the paintings we’ve done in the city, as well as the structure of the Kingsbridge subdivision. And we love to give back, to my circle of family and to me. “

Dunn thanked the city, especially communications manager Jennifer Ibrahim, for the drive-thru occasion to make it less difficult for her family.

“I’m really hot downtown,” said Dunn, who has already wrapped up the fourth edition of the annual event.
