Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to urgently assess hospital readiness to help patients and provide services with all mandatory equipment, given the growing number of cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection in the country.
The president’s workplace reported Saturday that the head of state had told the government to provide medical personnel with a full number of non-public protective devices and to comply with quarantine rules.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers will review the operation of access issues at the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sebastopol.
“Ukraine knows how to mobilize if necessary. It’s time for the government to mobilize to save them a momentary wave of coronavirus infection, which can have disastrous consequences not only for the economy, but also for our human capital,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.
