ROME (Reuters) – Italian energy engineering and infrastructure company Saipem has won two offshore contracts in Brazil and Guyana totaling around $1. 9 billion, it said on Wednesday.

In Brazil, Saipem has secured a contract with Equinor for the Raia project, which involves the progression of a fuel and condensate box in the pre-salt in the Campos basin, about 200 kilometers off the coast of Rio de Janeiro state, according to a statement. .

The task is one of Brazil’s most significant fuel growth tasks and could cover only 15% of the country’s total domestic fuel demand, Saipem said.

In Guyana, it won a contract with Exxon Mobil subsidiary ExxonMobil Guyana Limited for the advancement assignment of the Whiptail oil field in the Stabroek offshore block.
