YEREVAN, AUGUST 5, ARMENPRESS. The scenario related to the new coronavirus continues and this is the first time that the number of active cases has been less than 8000, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in a briefing after a consultation in the commander’s office, adding that figures approaching the stage was due in May and early June.
According to the Prime Minister, the decline in numbers has created an impression among the public that the pandemic is already being exceeded, but this is the case.
Yesterday we reported 288 new cases. That is a very small number compared to the July figures, however, it remains a giant number and we can say that the pandemic scenario remains confusing in Armenia and if we do not react and make more efforts, we can delay the scenario for The Scenario we had in the first week of July. Fix that was the peak of the pandemic. Today we face the same risks we faced in May,” ARMENPRESS told the Prime Minister.
According to Prime Minister Pashinyan, in order to achieve positive momentum, it is mandatory to continue to strictly comply with the rules.
“Among our anti-pandemic regulations dressed in masks is the central rule in open and enclosed spaces and we will have to strictly respect this rule,” Pashinyan said, adding that there was now an opportunity to succeed over the situation.
288 new COVID-19s have been shown in the last 24 hours, Armenia’s National Center for Disease Control and Prevention said. The total cumulative number of shown reached 39586, with 30850 recoveries.
Another 478 people recovered from the disease on the last day.
Two other people died, bringing the death toll to 770.
That number does not come with the deaths of 228 other people inflamed with the virus who died from other pre-existing conditions, the government said.
The most recent deaths had underlying fitness problems.
1848 tests have been performed in the 24 hours, the total number of tests is 170012.
