JERUSALEM – Thousands of Israelis demonstrated saturday night outdoors in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official apartment, not easy for the Israeli leader to resign.

Netanyahu’s popularity has plummeted in months as coronavirus resurgence intensifies and COVID-19 infections soar.
The minister has been accused of misbearing the lifting of the country’s first blockade, and imposed a momentary blockade before the September Jewish holidays that affected the country’s already suffering economy. Approximately 25% of the population running is unemployed or on permanent leave.
Struggling commercial homeowners and the unemployed have a key component of the protest movement.
Netanyahu has been accused of fraud, failure to accept as true and accept bribes in a series of scandals involving wealthy affiliates and media tycoons.
On Friday, Sudan agreed to normalize with Israel, enabling the third Arab state to do so in the last two months after the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, but peace agreements negotiated across the United States have done little to pacify the national protests opposed to Netanyahu.
