Israel Shows $80 Million Deal to Expand Fighter Pilot Center

Israel’s Defense Ministry on Tuesday signed an agreement with Elbit Systems to expand the project’s education center at Hatzor Air Base, which includes flight education simulators for F-15 and F-16 fighter jets.

The agreement will expand the center, double the number of flight training hours, improve flight prices and allow for joint training on the floor and in the air force in the future.

The deal is valued at $80 million and will be funded through U. S. military assistance. In the U. S. , it amounts to more than $3 billion annually.

“The IAF continues to expand and its capabilities face long-term challenges. As part of this effort, the combat aircraft network project’s education center will be expanded. This will be done to decorate the competence of air crews and the IAF as a whole, while generating economic efficiency,” said IAF Chief of Staff Brig. Gen. Eyal Grinboim.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the flight education center is essential to ensure that the operational functions of the pilots and provides complex education and flight simulation experience by incorporating demonstration systems. These systems allow for a wide variety of flight simulations, adding basic aircraft familiarization. , emergency situations, preparation of operational scenarios and missions.
