Israel said Hezbollah feared it would provoke a “provocation” before a imaginable maritime deal.

Israel fears that the terrorist organization Hezbollah will engage in the occasional “provocation” before the imaginable signing of an agreement on the maritime border between Israel and Lebanon, reports the Twelfth Channel.

The report does not detail the type of “provocation” that Hezbollah security officials will present. In July, Israel intercepted 4 unnamed Hezbollah drones flying towards the Karish offshore fuel field.

According to the network, which cites a source, Israel will cede “a segment in the center of the sea” as part of the talks, while Lebanon will cede a domain near the coast.

The report comes days after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned of an “escalation” if Lebanon’s demands in US-mediated negotiations are met.
