ISRAEL has released photographs it says show the front of a vast network of Hamas tunnels beneath Gaza’s largest hospital.
Video taken with a remote camera appears to show a spiral staircase sinking about 30 feet before leading into a massive 180-foot “fortified” tunnel.
Israeli forces say the discovery is irrefutable proof of the allegation that Hamas has an expanding command center at Al-Shifa Hospital.
In addition to the footage, the IDF and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) claimed to have “proof” that the hostages had been taken to the hospital after the initial bloodbath on October 7.
In the footage released by the ISA, Hamas terrorists can be seen forcibly transporting hostages, a Nepalese civilian and a Thai civilian, who were kidnapped in Israeli territory.
IDF cars stolen in the fatal bloodbath can also be seen at Shifa hospital.
The footage shows one of the hostages wounded and carried to a hospital bed while the other walks.
In recent days, the bodies of the late Yehudit Weiss and the late CPL Noa Marciano, abducted on October 7, have been returned to Israel.
Following ISA intelligence, IDF infantrymen found the bodies of Noa and Yehudit in other buildings near Shifa Hospital.
The IDF says the findings “prove” that the Hamas terror group used the Shifa Hospital compound on the day of the bloodbath as terrorist infrastructure.
Images of the tunnels released today show a deep staircase leading to the entrance to the tunnel shaft, which is made up of fenders, plus an explosive hatch and a firing hole.
“This type of door is used through the Hamas terror organization to prevent Israeli forces from entering Hamas-owned command centers and underground facilities,” the IDF said.
The tunnel shaft was discovered in the hospital area, under a shed, next to a vehicle containing weapons, as well as grenade launchers, explosives and Kalashnikov rifles.
The new images show that the tunnel shaft has a spiral staircase about three meters deep, which descends seven meters until it reaches part of the tunnel network.
The tunnel continues for five metres, before turning right and continuing for 50 metres.
Mark Regev, a senior adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said troops also discovered a Hamas command room and a Hamas command room at the hospital.
He added: “Once back we will have to show – and we will, it’s only a matter of time – the connection between the tunnel network and the hospital. “
Regev said there were fears that IDF forces would expect booby traps in the underground tunnels, and that the IDF would have conclusive conclusions in the coming days.
IDF and ISA forces continue to discover the direction of the tunnel.
The images were filmed inside the tunnel and recorded two separate technological assets.
Aerial images of the Shifa hospital complex, near the sites where the Hamas terrorist facilities were discovered, with explosive devices in the physiotherapy department, an interrogation room in the cardiology department, weapons and intelligence in the MRI center and a tunnel shaft near the Qatari hospital building.
“The effects obviously result in many of the buildings in the hospital complex being used by Hamas as cover for infrastructure and terrorist activities,” the Israeli military said.
“This is further proof of the cynical way in which Hamas uses the citizens of the Gaza Strip as human shields for its fatal terrorist activities,” they added.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli military said its troops had stormed several homes of Hamas leaders as they continued to intensify their offensive in Gaza.
They claimed to have targeted the exclusive community of Rimal with airstrikes and destroyed a Hamas army camp area.
It came as some 31 young children were evacuated from al-Shifa hospital, amid fears of an unfolding humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
One of the dramatic videos released of Israeli IDF troops attacking the homes of senior Hamas officials and engaging in stab fights.
In the clip, tanks were seen rolling through the ruined streets as Israel destroyed unnoticed enemies.
The Israeli military said paratroopers discovered “35 tunnel entrances” as they continued to pursue Hamas terrorists.
On November 14, Israeli special forces introduced a “precise and selective” raid on al-Shifa, which the IDF called a “military necessity” to eliminate Hamas.
A witness told the BBC that he saw tanks and a bunch of commandos advancing towards the medical center.
The Israeli military said the operation continued the next morning, when they exchanged fire with Hamas militants and discovered weapons inside.
“Before the hospital, our forces faced explosive devices and terrorist squads, combats occurred in which terrorists were killed,” he added.
At the same time, the hospital bears a symbol of the widespread suffering of the Palestinian civilian population: patients, in addition to newborns, are dying from a shortage of materials and a lack of electricity.
The World Health Organization had warned in the past that the hospital was becoming a “graveyard” as corpses piled up inside and out.
Palestinian civilians have had to flee for their lives as Israel tries to destroy Hamas after terrorism massacred 1,200 civilians on Oct. 7.
Families living in Gaza have been caught in the crossfire, with common accusations that terrorists use them as “human shields. ”
Much of the northern component of the Gaza Strip has become a devastated war zone, with buildings in ruins, dwindling materials and terrible suffering for the rest of Gazans.
The Red Cross estimates that 1. 5 million civilians have been forced to flee south in the face of Israeli attacks by land, air and sea.
The death toll is unverified, but Hamas officials say more than 11,000 civilians have been killed, in addition to more than 4,500 children.
Israel disputes those figures, with U. S. President Joe Biden saying there is “no trust. “
But Netanyahu admitted that Israel had “failed” in terms of civilian casualties.
However, he added that the deaths should be attributed to Hamas and not to Israel.
And as the horror continues, calls for a humanitarian ceasefire to end the bloodshed are growing.
