Israel intercepts drone introduced from Lebanon

The Israeli military on Monday intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle that entered Israeli airspace from southern Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement that its air defense unit monitored the drone throughout the incident and that it was likely introduced through the Shiite armed organization. Three unarmed drones flying towards Karish’s fuel box off Israel’s Mediterranean coast were shot down by the IDF on July 2. Hezbollah said it introduced the drones during a reconnaissance mission. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said his organization would take military action to save it. Israel’s extraction of fuel from offshore spaces also claimed through Lebanon.
