Israel and Bahrain have agreed on the mutual popularity of COVID-19 vaccines administered in the respective countries and passports.
This agreement is the first of its kind between the two countries and represents a global precedent for a bilateral agreement on the mutual popularity of vaccination certificates.
Under the agreement, other persons who have been vaccinated in any of the countries and who have obtained vaccines recognized in the other country will be exempt from quarantine and must enter posts requiring a “green passport”.
In the current phase, arrangements will be made for others who have been vaccinated with an unidentified vaccine through one of the two countries. Israel has only used the vaccine developed through Pfizer while Bahraini have also used a vaccine developed through China, which is unidentified through Israel.
The identity process will be carried out digitally and will facilitate immediate access to either country and tourism, industry and economic relations between the two countries are expected.
Israel’s Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi thanked his friend, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, for “his leadership that led to the historic Israel-Bahrain agreement for the green passport and the crown vaccine certificate. “
“This will strengthen tourism and bring our economies to life and contribute to our unusual fight against coronavirus,” he said.
