I have reviewed the Singaporean figures on COVID-19, as they are for a recent article via Jan Frederick Cruz, published through the media as the “Athenaeum Study”, which suggests that 98% of instances of COVID-19 in the Philippines in this quarter of 2020 has not been detected (see their “An Empirical Argument for Mass Evidence: Gross Estimates of Unreported COVID19 Cases in the Philippines Compared to Others in ASEAN-5”, Working Paper No. 2020-14, Department of Economics of Ateneo de la Universidad de Manila and Ateneo Center for Economic Research and Development, 8/18/20).
He says he has made Singapore the “baseline” because its mortality rate is the lowest in the region. Using worldometer. info as a source, on 27/08/20, I find that Singapore has five deaths / 1 million, out of a giant total number of 9666co8 instances / 1M, where / 1M means consistent with millions of inhabitants. Division of deaths through case effects into a Singapore mortality rate (let’s call it SinD) of 0. 05%, or only five deaths consisting of 10,000 instances. Singapore as the fighter in COVID-19, in terms of survival rates of cases shown.
The Doctorate is approximately 30 times longer than the SinD. This means, according to Cruz’s formula, 29 un reported cases consistent with 1 reported, representing an astonishing subconteo rate of 29/30 – 96. 6%; hence the exhibition won through his newspa consistent with.
In the Asean region, the case rate in Singapore is the highest, and the case rate in the Philippines is the highest at the moment. The other case rates in Asean, all / 1M, are: Indonesia 595, Malaysia 283, Thailand 49, Cambodia 16, Vietnam 11, Myanmar 11 and Laos 3.
By the way, the overall case rate is 3,148/1 M, which means that all Asean rates are much lower, with the exception of Singapore, which is much higher. International deaths are 106. 9/1 M, or 3. 40% of cases, or 340 consistent deaths. with 10,000 cases.
The mortality rates of the other ASEAN countries, relative to their number of instances, are: Indonesia 4. 20%, Malaysia 1. 39%, Thailand 1. 63%, Vietnam 2. 72% and Myanmar 0. 91%. I see Ph. D. de 1. 57 in line with the penny at the centre of the Asean group; only Malaysia and Myanmar are inferior. I calculated those death and instance mortality rates in mondometers. Cambodia and Laos have reported deaths, and I must assume they are zero.
Singapore is the wonderful exception of Asean, as it has an incredibly low mortality rate as well as a very high case rate. I think Cruz should also point out that Singapore is the largest case counter in COVID-19, as it has made a check for 3 Singaporeans.
Elsewhere in Asean, founded in the mondometers, there are 1 check for 27 other people in Malaysia, 46 in the Philippines, 93 in Thailand, 97 in Vietnam, 133 in Indonesia, 193 in Laos and 363 in Myanmar. This shows a decent verification effort, in the Philippines, compared to its neighbors.
