MINNEAPOLIS — A highly contagious variant of COVID-19 has yet to be detected in Minnesota wastewater testing that fitness officials say could dominate in the coming months.
The World Health Organization said BA. 2. 75 was concerning and warned that new variants were becoming contagious.
BA. 2. 75 has been the variant of the instance outbreak in India, according to recent reports.
According to the Metropolitan Council, more recent wastewater proved that BA. 5 remains the dominant variant in the metropolitan area, with some BA. 4 and BA. 2 remaining.
Authorities said there is still no sign of BA. 2. 75.
Overall, viral load decreased by about 20% compared to last week.
