The BA2. 86 variant of COVID-19 is spreading as it has a giant number of 35 new mutations that distinguish it from the prevalent Covid variants known in the past. It has about 30 genetic modifications compared to its father, the B82 variant. These adjustments to its spike protein make the BA 2. 86 variant contagious and deadly. However, experts said those who are fully vaccinated are no more likely to suffer the severity of viral infection if infected.
