Iraq will identify an embassy in Ireland.

The country has asked to open an embassy here or request that its ambassador in London be accredited to Dublin.

Yesterday, cabinet ministers approved the request, but no indication was given as to when the embassy would open.

Concerns about it in Iran

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Simon Coveney held talks with Iran’s foreign minister, expressing serious considerations about Mahsa Amini’s death in police custody.

The death of the 22-year-old Kurdish woman, who after her arrest by the Iranian moral police for wearing her hijab correctly, sparked protests in Iran and around the world.
