INTERNATIONAL: Iran’s Mapna Group has announced a 10-year cooperation agreement for the possible supply of wagons to a Polish company, which plans to deploy them in Eastern Europe.

The deal announced on Sept. 27 comes after a year of negotiations with the Polish joint-stock company, which Mapna says operates in the steel and rail transport sectors.

It is expected that once the wagons are qualified by the European Railway Agency, Mapna’s Wagon Pars activity will obtain one hundred vehicles in the first year, two hundred in the second year and three hundred wagons per year from the third year onwards.

Mapna said those would be the first European exports of Wagon Pars, which has already provided rolling stock to countries such as Bangladesh, China, Syria, Sudan and Cuba and is now growing overseas.
