In December, Iran plans to sign an energy deal with Russian fuel giant Gazprom worth about $40 billion, a senior Iranian diplomat said on Wednesday.
“We have reached an agreement worth about $6. 5 billion with Gazprom. We expect the remaining deals totaling $40 billion to be signed next month. Negotiations are underway lately,” Mahdi Safari, Iran’s deputy foreign minister in economic diplomacy, was quoted as saying by Iran’s ISNA news agency.
Earlier this week, Russia and Iran agreed to sign a flexible industrial deal with the Eurasian Economic Union, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Tuesday.
“We also agreed to remove all barriers that exist on the way to the progress of the bilateral industry. And we are talking about removing border barriers with third countries. We agreed to conclude an agreement on flexible industrial dominance between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union. in the near future,” Novak told a Russian-Iranian forum.
Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji told the bilateral forum that the public and personal sectors of both countries should “neutralize sanctions. “
“There is now a strong will in the public and personal sectors of both countries to neutralize the sanctions,” Owji was quoted as saying by the Oil Ministry news agency, Shana.
Russia’s Novak, for his part, said “the amount of Russian investment in Iranian oil fields will increase. “
