Iran unveils ballistic missile with ‘Death to Israel’ written in Hebrew

On Wednesday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps displayed an obvious ballistic missile with the words “Death to Israel” engraved in Hebrew on the side, at a display in the central city of Isfahan.

Footage released through news firm Tasnim shows what appears to be a surface-to-surface missile on a launcher with an elaborate Hebrew script on the side.

It is not transparent whether it is a genuine missile or a mock-up.

The demonstration comes days after a first drone strike on a key Iranian defense facility in the same city. The site reportedly hit a weapons production facility for Iran’s Shahed-136 killer drones.

The attack is part of a series widely attributed to Israel, which has a policy of commenting on such operations.

Iran officially blamed Israel for the attack, filed a complaint with the UN Security Council about the “terrorist attack” introduced through the Jewish state, and reserved its “legitimate and inherent right” to retaliate.

Following the release of photographs of the missile, a senior Foreign Ministry official told the Ynet news site that “the message is very transparent, in case I had any doubts. “

While Iran’s nuclear weapons are Israel’s primary concern, Jerusalem has also said its ballistic weapons program is also a major danger and has prompted the foreign network to impose restrictions on the program in any long-term nuclear deal.

The IRGC exhibit also featured several Iranian missiles, drones and warheads, and was open to the public.

It also comes a day after Iran unveiled what it described as its first underground airbase, and the leader of the Islamic Republic’s military said it would be among those to be used to launch a reaction to any potential attack through Israel or others.

“Any attack on Iran through our enemies, Israel, will see a reaction from our many air bases, Eagle 44,” Iranian Armed Forces chief of staff Mohammad Bagheri told IRNA, according to Reuters news agency.

IRNA said the Eagle 44 is one of Iran’s most important military facilities and will carry fighter jets equipped with long-range cruise missiles.

The location of the base was not disclosed as part of Iran’s attempts to steer the main army and nuclear facilities away from possible attacks.

Israel is suspected of launching a series of attacks on Iran, an attack on its underground nuclear facility at Natanz that broke its centrifuges.

Last year, Iran’s military revealed the main points on an underground base in the Zagros mountain range, where it said a hundred drones were stored. Iran has also shown tunnels in the past, which serve as garages for missiles and drones.
