Former senior CIA official Norman Roule says Iran provided aid to Houthi rebels before the organization hijacked a shipment in the Red Sea.
“There would have to have been, not necessarily intelligence work, but open source checks to identify which ship, approximately, where and with which individual,” Roule told Sky News Australia.
“It takes a little bit of work.
“Iran maintains at least one intelligence-gathering ship in the Red Sea.
“And this shipment approached the Iranian shipment some time before it attacked through the Houthis. “
