Iran reports record 6134 new instances of COVID-19

Iran’s fitness ministry reported a record 6,134 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours on Friday, bringing the national total to 556,891 in the worst-hit country in the Middle East.

Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari told state television that another 335 people had died from the disease in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 31,985. (Dubai. newsroom@thomsonreuters. com Edited through Gareth Jones)
