Iran reports no COVID deaths after just five months

This occurs when the country recovers from a new wave from which it has swept the country for several months.

On June 2, Iran announced the first daily death toll of 0 since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country in early 2020, but soon after, the country went through the seventh wave of the disease.

Three Iranian cities are still on red alert for COVID while situations are general in most parts of the country.

Iran’s new leadership through President Ebrahim Raisi has stepped up its pandemic vaccination crusade since it took effect in August 2021.

So far, up to 154,972,801 doses of COVID vaccines, first, moment or booster, have been inoculated nationwide.
