Iran wants the Houthi rebels to play in gray dominance with the United States, says Malcolm Davis, a senior analyst at ASPI.
Davis’ comments come after the U. S. called on Australia to send a message to covered spaces where Houthi rebels have been sighted.
“Iran is betting here in a grey domain where they will attack the United States and push them back,” he told Sky News Australia presenter James Morrow.
“And inflict costs, at one point less than would require a direct response from the military.
“They’re going through these constant attacks and what we’re seeing is that the U. S. is responding with timely responses. “
