Inverness Victorian market closes after Covid-19 case

The council announced that the Inverness market would close tonight to allow for a complete clean-up.

At 6:30 p. m. , the Victorian market closed its doors until further notice.

The Highland Council, which manages the site on behalf of the Inverness Common Good Fund, said this was done as a precautionary measure following a market-related Covid-19 case.

He added that the closure would be “as short as you can imagine to allow thorough cleaning” and that the council will adhere to public aptitude and environmental fitness for advice.

All Corporations in the Victorian market are requested to comply with applicable Scottish government rules at: www. gov. scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-retail-sector-guidance and www. gov. scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19 – accompaniment-sector-tourism-and-hotel
