Interstate migration to Brisbane ‘normalises’, contributing to emerging asset prices

CoreLogic’s director of research, Tim Lawless, discusses reports that Brisbane has Australia’s second-most expensive city, surpassing Canberra and Melbourne.

“To be clear, there are more people moving from Sydney to southeast Queensland than from Melbourne to southeast Queensland,” Lawless told Sky News Australia.

“It is to normalize.

“We’re seeing interstate migration in Victoria does look like it’s sort of steadying out.”
