Instances of PH COVID-19 exceed 200,000 problems with 5,277 new infections

According to the most recent knowledge of the Department of Health (DOH), the total number of COVID-19 instances is now 202,361, of which 65,764 are active instances.

Of the active cases, 91. 6% are mild cases, 6. 3% are asymptomatic cases, 1. 3% are critical cases, and 0. 9% are severe cases.

The DOH recorded 1,131 new recoveries, bringing the total number of patients actually recovered to 133,460.

Meanwhile, the death toll in the country has risen to 3,137 after new deaths were recorded.

The ministry said it had got rid of 80 duplicates of the total number of instances. Of this number, 58 recovered instances have been removed.

The DOH also noted that nine cases had already been reported as cured, but later became known as deaths after final validation. [AC]
