New conditioning and protection measures for the Instacart community, buyers and consumers to wear face masks
SAN FRANCISCO, August 19, 2020 / PRNewswire / – Instacart, the US leader in online groceries, today announced a new partnership with Doctor On Demand to provide COVID-19 screening and virtual medical consultations to the grocery buyer community. In addition, Instacart is adopting a new measure of protection and fitness to ensure the protection of the entire Instacart community, asking all buyers to wear a mask at the points of sale and when they come into contact with consumers, and asking consumers to do the same. .

The new partnership with Doctor On Demand marks the national launch of a successful Instacart program that was tested in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., in early summer and will continue until the end of the year. Under this program, any customer with symptoms of COVID-19 can perform the Doctor On Demand online evaluation to determine whether or not to see a doctor. Depending on the effects of the evaluation, customers can schedule a telemedicine appointment with a Doctor On Demand doctor to discuss the suitability of the tests. Instacart will cover the scale load to ensure customers have access to physical care whenever they want it. If a consumer obtains a clinical diagnosis of COVID-19 from the fitness service provider, they will still be eligible to get up to 14 days of completed payment to ensure that they have the financial backing of their recanopy.

To date, Instacart has distributed nearly 450,000 fitness and protection kits to buyers, and more kits are shipped every week. Since April, the company has invested more than $20 million in buyer suitability and protection, creating new policies, guidelines, product features, resources, improved bonuses and non-public protective devices to ensure buyer’s suitability and protection.
