ASTANA. KAZINFORM Deputy Minister of Health – Kazakhstan’s Chief Health Officer Aizhan Yesmagambetova announced which influenza viruses are circulating lately in Kazakhstan, Kazinform reports.
“Currently, influenza A and B viruses are circulating in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan has recorded 2630 laboratory-confirmed cases with a predominance of influenza B. In addition, influenza A (H1N1) and H3N2 subtypes have been detected circulating in the country. Since the beginning of the epidemic season, 2,600 cases of influenza have been reported, of which 65% are under 14 years of age, 30% more than last year,” Yesmagambetova said at today’s assembly of the Central Election Commission.
